A Departure From Contour & Highlight

August 31, 2016

Recently I was asked to be a part of an album cover shoot that was 60's inspired. Since it was styled by the amazing Erin Armstrong who also did the hair for the shoot, of course I jumped at the chance!

Can I be honest and say that one of the things that made me instantly excited is that I knew due to the genre of the shoot, it would be gorgeous makeup sans contour and highlight!

I know that's a dirty thought since that's all anyone is talking about (still) but I did really enjoy doing a more matte and drama filled look for this.

I thought it might be helpful to share some of the products I used on the model (Julie).

FOUNDATION & CONCEALER: RCMA

POWDER: Laura Mercier Loose Translucent with Puff

BRONZER: Anastasia Contour Kit Light

BLUSH: MAC

EYES: Anastasia & MAC shadows, Anastasia Jet Liner, Rimmel Nude Liner, Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara

LASHES: Velour

LIPS: Urban Decay Liner & Lipstick

SETTING SPRAY: Urban Decay All Nighter

I'd be happy to answer any more questions that you have about this shoot!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo
