BRAND SPOTL!GHT: Sunday Riley

Last year while at Sephora I was introduced to Sunday Riley by a fellow product pusher and blogger.  She showed me the Luna Oil but the $105 was startling however after reading the blurb on Sephora's Skin IQ which read "Luna Sleeping Night Oil contains high potency, purified grade lactic acid to instantly correct dullness, plump the look of lines, and exfoliate the skin. With continued use, the appearance of stubborn hyper-pigmentation, imperfections, and the visible signs of aging are reduced for a healthy-looking complexion. Enhanced with licorice for brightening, it helps to clarify and correct the appearance of imperfections for immediate, smooth radiance."  I also found out that it was to be the next generation retinoid oil meant for wrinkles and pores so since I already use a prescription retinol a few times a week I thought this would be a great in between night treatment so yes, I ponied up and bought it!  I use it about 3 times per week at night. Don't be put off by the blue color, it barely is visible once applied.

A few months later at the Sephora Village Arcade in Houston I had the pleasure of meeting Sunday herself so I prodded for a little inside recommendation from the creator, like ya do, and she recommended Good Genes as an addition to my regime.  Shocker this one comes in at another $105 but promises to plum fine lines, correct dullness with it high potency lactic acid, while exfoliating the skin. If you are interested, check out Sephora for more uses but I love it under my makeup as a primer.  My skin looks and feels hydrated without oiliness.

In April Sephora had their VIB Rouge discount so you know I was itching to spend some money and remember that fellow product pusher I mentioned earlier? Well I asked her if she had any ground breaking products she thought needed to call my vanity home and she told me about Tidal, her new favorite face cream. She never steers me wrong and when I saw the bargain price tag of $65 - hell it was a steal for the brand so in my cart it went! It's pretty kick ass actually and now that I've been using it for almost a month I can say that the claims are correct. It hydrates my skin with hyaluronic acid and tamarind extract. Plus I am a straight up sucker for exfoliation (manual and chemical, I don't discriminate) so knowing that this also contains papaya enzymes to smooth and exfoliate, while working on my hyper-pigmentation spots and as an added bonus it illuminates my face - DONE.

TIP: If you have oily skin like me, you may find it too heavy for use under makeup so I keep it for using a few nights a week before bed.  This might change in winter months so I'll try it again then.

While on the site I found this nifty little set which is .5 sizes of both of my favorites so obviously I needed that for travel. If you're looking to try Sunday Riley products without the large price tag then this might be the way to go!

xoxo,

-Kara
